What is the difference between a Flyer and Leaflet?
Flyers are printed on one side and will focus on one piece of simple promotional information including promoting a business or organisation, advertising a product or service, a special offer, an event announcement, or product launch.
Leaflets are printed on both sides and maybe folded to create multiple panels within the one sheet.
What is the difference between a Brochure and a Pamphlet?
Brochures are more elaborate than flyers or leaflets, and are typically multi-page documents, designed to provide a comprehensive overview of a business, product, or service to help readers absorb important information.
Pamphlets are similar to leaflets, but are typically folded into a multi-page document, providing more detailed information about a business, product, or service. They are often used as handouts at trade shows or events, or distributed through mail or other forms of direct marketing.
Printed brochures are used as sales or marketing tools, and can be distributed through mail, handed out at events, or displayed in a company's reception area or sales office.
Who uses Flyers and Leaflets?
In the UK and Ireland, printed flyers, leaflets, and company brochures are widely used by businesses of all sizes, including small local businesses and large multinational corporations.
What are Leaflets and Flyers used for?
They are used in a variety of other purposes within marketing, including:
- Direct mail: Many businesses use printed flyers, leaflets, and brochures as part of their direct mail campaigns. They are typically mailed directly to potential customers or clients, with the goal of generating leads or sales.
- In-store displays: Flyers, leaflets, and brochures are printed to create eye-catching displays in a business's storefront or reception area. Used to promote special offers or new products, or to provide information about company services or capabilities.
- Events and trade shows: Printed flyers, leaflets, and brochures are often used at events and trade shows to promote a business, charity or organisation. They are handed out to attendees or used as part of a booth display.
- Sales materials: Leaflets and Flyers are part of company sales materials. They are used to provide detailed information about a product or service, or to create a visual representation of a business's capabilities or offerings.
- Product launches: Used to promote new product launches or updates.
- Service promotions: Used to promote special offers, discounts on services.
- Corporate messaging: communicating internal messaging, such as its mission or values
Where is the best place to hand out a flyer or leaflet?
Some companies still hand them out on the high street (although this is becoming a less used practice) or at promotional events, as they're eye-catching and grab potential customers' attention.
They'll make a great first impression because of the quality finish from TradePrintingUK which can showcase the best of your business' branding and product range.
This would entice people into a further call to action by visiting your company website, or giving you a call.
Their frequency of use varies depending on the type of business and the marketing strategy being used. They can be used on a regular basis as part of ongoing marketing campaigns, or as part of targeted promotions or events.
They can also be included inside your product's packaging as further potential engagement for customers.
Easily posted through local homes' letterboxes for direct mail marketing, they can left in bundles at key Tourist locations, encouraging passing footfall to pick one up.
Where can I buy cheap flyers?
Our trade-printed, cheap flyers are lightweight and easy to physically distribute.
This will make it easy for your marketing or promotion teams to hand out at at events or at venues, enabling your message to be kept for later in a pocket, purse, wallet or handbag; or even better still, to pass it on to their friends and family.

Do UK charities use Flyers Printing any more?
Local registered charities and events in the UK can benefit too as they find these high definition printed flyers are still an incredibly effective marketing tool and great for cross-promotion and fund-raising purposes.
Are leaflet and flyers good for start-up businesses?
If you’re just starting out in business, TradePrintingUK's cheap flyers are a fantastic investment to promote your product range, services, samples or promo activities.
For established businesses too, post-pandemic, short-run leaflet and flyers are a good way to announce a new product, a location move or addition, future product lines or more importantly flash sale promotions with special discounts.
Well-crafted printed flyers and leaflets are very effective at capturing the attention of targeted members of the public, without forcing you to burn a hole in your marketing budget, especially post-Covid-19.
If you order them from us in bulk and use them to add to your print marketing campaign goals, you can easily spread them both locally, or more widely to generate the right buzz for your company or product in both the UK and Ireland.
What paper types do you have for leaflet printing?
The papers we use are either 100gsm Bond, Premium White 120gsm Uncoated bond (a bright white paper, with a crisp smooth feel even though it's uncoated), 160gsm Uncoated Board, 150gsm Gloss Artpaper, or 300gsm Uncoated Board.
Can I have Sequential Numbering on my flyers or leaflets?
Yes. Sequential Numbering is available on leaflets printed on UNCOATED paper or card, up to a maximum of 2000 qty. It isn't available on the Silk range though. Just choose it from the drop-down menu when you pick an Uncoated card or paper at order stage.
Usually created as 5 digits (up to 7 digits max.) as 00001 etc.; please do NOT put the numbering on your actual PDF artwork (otherwise it'll print on the job) but leave space (12mm tall x 30mm wide) describe its location in the box below.
However you can start the Sequential Numbering wherever you like e.g. 01001-01500 etc. - numbering size is usually based around 14pt Arial and Black ink as default.
We can alter the size and colour as it's digital numbering (e.g. 10pt in Red ink) on request.
