Things to bear in mind when designing professional artwork for Oversize A4 Printed Presentation Folders
With reference to both the "Standard" and "Deluxe" variants of Corporate Presentation Folder product range, Trade Printing UK would advise that a large area of a single, solid dark colour is not always advised over a large area (as slight horizontal banding can occur through areas of continuous solid colour. The colour and tone may vary slightly across the sheet too, although there are a few workarounds that can do a very acceptable job of it by adding a subtle, virtually invisible "noise filter" over the solid dark colour of your Deluxe Presentation Folder / Printed Folder. This is inherent in the Litho printing process and may happen in your Folder job depending on ink densities of the colours chosen. Your designer will also have to work with our in-house die-cut forme templates - this one is our "Version 3" die-cut Forme for Printed Presentation Folders - so you or your designer will need to allow for the cutting forme itself when designing artwork. The die-cut forme has the potential to move by up to 1mm in any direction and bleed must be allowed on your Folder job to accommodate this anomaly. Also there may be slight Artboard white dust from the Platin die-cut machine especially where solid areas have been used although this is minimized with lamination option. Gloss lamination will deepen your colours. Matt lamination is also liable to mark slightly. Colours you see on your computer monitor, inkjet or laser printer may vary slightly in tone and colour from what will be printed and produced using our litho process of printing (presses vary between printing companies as well but rest assured your trade job will receive the utmost best attention by our press operators.
